I’m still quite ecstatic that I’m back home, especially being back sitting in my used-to-be study room. See, I’m a happy girl :D
Going around KK feels different now. It’s somehow familiar, yet a stranger to me. Like, you don’t know where and what is new anymore. New shops, new trend, new roads.
Yesterday when I got home near midnight, I was said to myself,”Omgosh, I’m so tired I won’t be able to do any homework tomorrow.” Paused. “Oh wait..” Haha. Old habits die hard I guess. It felt like I was still part of KK. Like everything was still like it used to be. After that incident, I constantly remind myself that I have to leave my precious home again after a couple more days. How heart-breaking right? Haha.
Even though I’m here back home, I’m already starting to miss it.
I can’t believe time has flew by so quickly and my everyday yearnings has came to reality. I’m finally back home to Taman Antarabangsa, KK, Sabah. :) Home has never smelt so sweet. The roads, the pavements, the tiles, the washed-out wooden walls and the scent of memories. I know im exaggerating, but I’m sure most of you out there that are studying abroad feels the same way especially when it was your first time coming back home from wherever you’re from. I’ve never felt so much appreciation towards my home before. Suddenly, I feel so mature now, haha.
It’s either my house shrunk or I have definitely grown taller. The cupboard at the living room that only tiptoe-ing I could reach has now become so much shorter. The mirror at the dressing table cannot reflect my whole figure anymore, and even the bathroom sink was above my tummy, now reached my waist. Can 5 months change so much?
Well, despite the obvious changes - my hair has grown longer, I’ve grown taller, I became thinner and my face has more pimples, I guess being away from home has made me more mature, in a sense of independence and value towards things. It’s weird being the senior right now. I used to be the one that watch people leave and come back after couple months or years, but now it’s strange to see myself as one now. Haha, I’m a senior.
My goal this trip home is to eat the wondrous KK food, watch movies with their cheap tickets, enjoy the view of the beaches, and of course spend as much time with my loved ones, particularly my family. :)
I’m not trying to be funny here, but seriously there are lots of stuff sold in Sabah that is not sold here. ESPECIALLY FOOD. It was an eventful day when Francisca & I found Yan Yan ;D
But for some reason i don’t know why, maybe only to me, the biscuits tasted weird :S Maybe the people here doesn’t fancy Yan Yan much so it’s kept in the supermarket for a long time. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it :D
This cookies are soooo yummy :L And when it comes to yummy stuff, there’s always a price to pay. The second catch to yummy stuff is that they come in small quantity :( there’s only 8 pieces inside, SO SADDD!!
If you wanna try this yummy cookie, which I know you want to :P I… will bring you to buy when you come visit me in KL! See, what a nice bargain. :D
