Every time when the word ‘gentlemen’ comes to mind, my imagination draws straight to men in tuxedos, black leather shoes combed and gel-ed hair, sprayed with cologne and with charismatic posture.
It’s not exactly so.
Ever since I came to Taylor’s, I have encountered being a lady in the ‘ladies first’ treatment from unexpected peers. It’s weird, you know. They walk behind you and if you walk at the same pace as them, they walk slower. Or if you’re lucky to walk behind them and hits a pit stop to walk up the stairs, they’ll wait for you to go up first before them. Even from male friend who you always playfully argue with - they open the doors for you while refuting your statements made about them.
It’s so weird to actually meet these kind of guys where you think only the telly has it. If you think about it, its even nicer when they are not told to do it.
I’m happy to have male friends that are gentlemen. That means they’ll respect you and treat you right. :D only for typical cases. Other unfortunate cases, nono.
We believe God wants you to know that you’ve got what it takes.
God won’t give you more than you can handle. Although there may have been times you thought the world was caving in on you, you got through it. You are much stronger than you think and with God’s power, you are stronger than you can imagine. So charge ahead, you can handle it.
Day 06: A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day.
ASH KETCHUM FROM PALLET TOWN!
I’ve been watching Pokemon lately, hehe. But ever since Pokemon aired in the telly, I wanted to teleport myself into the Pokemon world ever so badly. I mean, they can go out travelling at the age of… 12? 13? Get their own Pokemon and use that to catch some more!
I can teach myself to be independent by battling with Team Rocket OVER AND OVER AGAIN. In other words, meeting bad people and beat the crap out of them. :D
I can even meet new friends along the way. Especially those that knows how to cook, like Brock! The food he cooks seems so much more delicious. :L…
I can even earn badges by battling with Gym leaders! Definitely beats homework!
Last but not least, I could maybe even own a PIKACHU! I’m talking about this:
“Why do people keep making fun of Twilight/The Saga? If you have read the book first, you would definitely confirm that the movie sucks. If you watched the movie first and say the book suck as much without reading it, eat my fist.”—
I was actually trying to look for a picture of my mum and I, or my mum only. That simply means I have not taken enough pictures with my mum. :O But this is good too. That’s jayden btw. He was so puny then, haha. :P
I actually have 2 favourite memory that relates to my family. One is insignificant and another is. I’ll start with the insignificant one first.
1. My favourite memory is spending time with my family. Some of you know I realllyyy love steamboats. That’s cause when I was younger, my family used to steamboat all the time and that brings each family member together. If you think about it, steamboat is kinda like a buffet right? And duh. Everybody loves food. :D So whenever my birthday is near and they would ask me what I want or where I want to eat, I’d say steamboat and that would suffice. Sadly, they don’t enjoy steamboat as much as me D: Cause I always ask for steamboats almost every birthday. xD
2. The other would be when I was in primary school. My mum used to wake me up in the morning, make me take a shower and she would pamper me by tying my hair. :) Everyday, she would try to tie a different kind of hairstyle for me. Ponytails, braids, etc. I love it because despite her complaints of saying how hard braiding is, I can see that she enjoyed doing it. And when she’s done, she would always ask,”Mei ma?" or "Pretty right?" with a kiddie smile on her face. I’m sure she enjoyed it more than I did.
